Amy Jackson , the ‘Miss Teen World 2008’ is Arya’s new heroine for Madharasapattinam, directed by ‘Kireedam’ Vijay and produced by Kalpathi.S.Agoharam.
Amy is a British girl from Liverpool who had won the Miss Teen Great Britain contests, which helped her to get the Miss Teen World 2009 held in Houston, Texas in 2008.
The 16 year old Amy a ravishing beauty triumphed over 25 other beauties to win the pageant. The brunette (girl with dark brown hair) whose father is the famous BBC Radio host Alan Jackson was initially planning to take up modeling, before the offer came from Vijay to act in a Kollywood film.
Last week Amy flew down to Chennai for a hush-hush screen test followed by a photo shoot, and she was selected. Amy has an Indian look about her, and the character she plays in Madharasapattinam is that of a English girl (of the British Raj era, 1940’s), who falls for a Madras boy (Arya).
The 5 ft 8 inches Amy is now shooting with Arya for the film on location in Bangalore. The director is trying to keep her away from the prying eyes of the media, as he wants to introduce her at a later stage.
